What’s new at Hen Feathers? This newsletter for one!
One of our customers comes in every Thursday on her way to a weekly appointment. Every week, the first thing she says as she rushes through the door is, “What’s new?” And she’s not just asking about our well being. She genuinely wants to know what fabrics we’ve received, what new quilts are on the walls, and what kits are available.
We started taking notes so we’d be ready for her, and it *finally* dawned on me that we could type up those notes and send them to you. While we won’t inundate you with spam, we do want to send you the latest news and information in the quilt world.
Here’s what else is new:
We just received over 20 bolts of batiks. If just hearing about that makes you go weak at the knees you really need to come by and take a look. We’ll have the smelling salts ready.
If you’re looking to make a WSU Ragtime quilt, we have new homespun fabric in to please any Shocker.
We have a cute, cute, cute t-shirt new in the store. It says, “Mess with my fabric, I will rip your seams out.” It’s $16.00 available in M, L, XL, 2X and 3X. AND it’s available online at www.henfeathersquilts.com.

A big hello to the quilters of Lincoln, NE! They stopped at Hen Feathers on their bus tour and we had a great time.
If your group would like to have a “Field Trip” complete with a catered lunch, dessert, and a demo, give us a call at 316-652-9599 and we’ll get it scheduled. And you don’t have to be from out of town to have a Field Trip… busses are always optional.

We’ve all heard of the 12 Days of Christmas, right? Well at Hen Feathers, we have the 12 Quilts of Christmas. That’s right. We have 12 different Christmas Quilt Kits available for you to take home today. We’re always looking to have some fun, so we thought it might be fun to have a contest. Here’s how it works:
Beginning on October 31st (because that’s when the rest of the world thinks the Christmas season begins) we will post on the Hen Feathers web site one of the 12 Christmas Quilt kits. The featured kit will change each day for 12 days. Once you’ve identified the Christmas Quilt each day, send an e-mail to me at peggy@henfeathersquilts.com with your name, address and phone number along with name of that day’s Christmas quilt, and your name will go into a hopper for a $25 gift certificate giveaway. You can enter once each day, so if you identify all 12 quilts, that’s 12 chances to win! All entries must be received by December 1st and the drawing will take place on December 5th. Good luck!
