HEN FEATHERS SPRING CLASSES 2012
Beginner Quilting Tuesdays, Jan. 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st & Feb. 7th 6pm to 8:30pm
$60 class fee + supplies
This class is designed for complete beginners. You will learn everything from beginning to end: rotary cutting, piecing, quilting, and binding. When you are finished you will have a small 4 patch quilt to use for a table topper, a wall hanging, or baby quilt depending on your fabric.
Duffel Bag Monday, January 16th 10:30 am to 3:30pm
$ 36 class fee + supplies
In this popular class you will start with quilted fabric and leave class with a finished bag, zipper and all. These bags make great gifts for all ages as they can be used for everything from travel to diaper bags.
Ladies Pullover Top Thursday, January 19th 10:30am to 3pm
$24 class fee + booklet & supplies
Learn how to make this versatile clothing piece and you can make a whole new wardrobe - well at least a few tops! Make it dressy or casual depending on your choice of fabric.
Turning Twenty Mondays, January 23rd & 30th 6pm to 8pm
$24 class fee + booklet & supplies
Take 20 fat quarters, do a little cutting & sewing and you have a wonderful quilt. Flannel is perfect and cozy, for this fast project. You must know how to rotary cut but otherwise this is a great beginner quilt.
Hash Browns Mondays, February 13th & 20th 6pm to 8pm
$24 class fee + pattern & supplies
Take 1 jelly roll, a little background fabric and you have a wonderful, complicated looking quilt that is really quite easy. The quilt can be made any size from crib to king. A fantastic gift for graduations and birthdays!
Hand Appliqué Tuesdays, February 28th & March 6th 6pm to 8pm
$24 class fee + book & supplies
Learn how to do hand appliqué with this beautiful floral design. This is a technique that can be done while you are watching TV in the evenings but makes such a wonderful addition to any quilt you just have to learn how to do it! It helps you add just the right special touch.
Lemoyne Star Wednesdays, February, 29th & March 7th 6pm to 8pm
$24 class fee + ruler & supplies
Using this new technique with a special ruler you will be amazed at how easy it is to make 8 pointed stars with no Y seams! Yes, NO Y SEAMS! We will work on a small wall hanging or table topper with several sizes of stars made from this one ruler.
Triple Express Mondays, March 5th & 12th 6pm to 8pm
$24 class fee + pattern & supplies
This is a very versatile pattern. Once you learn how to make the 2 units in each block you can make many quilts that look entirely different depending on how you put them together. It will be fun to see everyone’s quilts when they are completed.
Drunkards Path Tuesdays, March 20th & 27th 6pm to 8pm
$24 class fee + pattern & supplies
Another versatile design that can be old fashioned or modern depending on the fabric and arrangement you choose. Let us prove that curved piecing really isn’t hard!
Class Notes
Pre-registration is required. You may register by phone, in person or by e-mail. Class payment is due when registering for class. Class fees are for instruction only, supplies are not included in class fees. We have a cancellation policy of shop credit only if cancelled at least 7 days prior to class. After that there is no refund of any type.
